Safe Access Network exists to reduce barriers to healthcare in Southern Nevada, helping Las Vegas and Henderson residents confidently navigate care through trusted relationships, education, community engagement, and meaningful local connections.
What we believe
The right introduction can change a life.
A person shouldn't need to be an expert in insurance, referrals, and eligibility to receive care. Yet for millions, that's exactly what the system asks of them.
Safe Access Network is built on a simple idea: care is far more likely to happen when it begins with a trusted, human introduction, a neighbor, a partner organization, a provider who already knows the community.
We create the moments and the infrastructure for those introductions to happen, and to continue long after the first hello.
The Southern Nevada problem
Clark County grew faster than its care did.
Nevada has spent years near the bottom of national rankings for physicians per resident, and Clark County carries roughly three quarters of the state's population. That mismatch shows up in ordinary life as long waits for a new patient appointment, long drives across the valley, and a system that quietly assumes you already know how to work it.
Las Vegas also works on a schedule the healthcare system does not. Hospitality, warehouse, construction, and gig work bring shifting hours and shifting coverage. An appointment offered at two in the afternoon on a Tuesday is not an appointment for a family living on that schedule.
Add language, immigration status, transportation, and a valley where a cross town trip can cost half a work day, and the distance between a person and care is rarely one obstacle. It is five small ones stacked.
None of this is solved by another flyer. People do not skip care because no one printed the information. They skip it because the first step is unclear, the second step is intimidating, and there is no one to ask.
So we work on the part that flyers cannot do: putting a resident, a provider, and a local organization in the same room, in a neighborhood venue people already trust, and letting the conversation start there.
We measure our work by whether the connection held, not by how many brochures left the table.

How we work
Four commitments that shape every decision.

Free, and open to everyone
We do not bill anyone, and we do not screen for insurance, income, or immigration status at the door. Eligibility questions belong with the programs that require them, not at the entrance to a conversation.

Local first
Every referral points to a Southern Nevada organization that can actually take the next call. We would rather name three real options in Clark County than fifty from a national directory.

Plain language
Our materials and guides are written the way a neighbor explains something, without acronyms, and with the cost said out loud.

Privacy by default
Attending an event requires nothing. We collect information only when someone asks us to follow up, and we do not sell or trade what people share with us.

- No. We are not a clinic, an insurance agency, or a medical provider. We connect Southern Nevada residents to the organizations and providers that deliver care, and we stay in the relationship afterward.
